Parent 2 can't accept their offer
TRANSCRIPT:
In this video, we will look at some reasons why the second parent is struggling to accept the enrolment offer.
We will use Robert Test as an example. Inside Robert's student profile and in the enrolment offer tab, you can see that at the moment, none of the parents have signed.
The flow is by default that the second parent has to sign the "offer acceptance" first. The second parent gets sent a separate link to sign from, via email, which you can find in the backend, "here".
This has to happen before the main user parent can finalise the acceptance.
If you open up the link we get to the stage where the second parent has to sign first.
The problem will occur if one of the following questions is entered incorrectly: the email address, the last name, or the date of birth of the child has been entered incorrectly.
So we need to make sure that the parents have used the same information as you can find in the backend.
In the Parent 2 section, the parent needs to use this exact email address. It "must" match what is registered in EnrolHQ.
For example, many parents try to use a Gmail address when a Hotmail address is registered inside EnrolHQ.
If they use a different one, it will not match, and they will not be able to continue.
They also have to use the same last name. So in this case, "O'Neill" has to match what's inside EnrolHQ.
The problem here, is often that the apostrophe version is different from computer to computer.
So if a parent uses a different type of apostrophe, it won't match,
The only way to resolve this is for you to actually go in and remove the apostrophe, save that, and allow the parent to put in their name without it.
They also have to make sure that the date of birth is the same for the student. So they need to add the 14th of September, 2018, which is the date of birth for Robert.
If any one of these 3 questions doesn't match what is set in EnrolHQ, the parents will not be able to proceed.
